How to Install CST Studio Suite _ Client Installation Guide

We have created an installation guide to aid customers who wants to attempt installing CST Studio Suite themselves.

Note: Be sure that your workstation is fully supported to install the software. For certified workstations, please go to https://www.3ds.com/support/hardware-and-software/hardware-and-software-configurations/

Download Installation File (Optional)

1. Go to: 3ds.com/support/download/
2. Select Access your Download.
3. Login using your Dassault credentials.
4. Select SIMULIA and then select SIMULIA CST.
5. Select the appropriate Release year and select Golden from the Level drop-down menu.
6. Find CST Studio Suite Installation File. Ensure that the files are for WIN64 and proceed to download files.

If there are several download icons showing, make sure to download all the files.

Unzip Files

We recommend using 7-Zip to unzip the files.  If you do not have 7-Zip, you can download it by going to their website, click here.

1. Highlight the downloaded zip files.
2. Right-click and go to 7-Zip->Extract Here.
3. You should end up with a single extracted folder.

Running the Install

1. Open the extracted folder to locate the exe file. Right-click to run as administrator.
2. Click Next in the installer to continue.

3.Enter your information or leave it as admin, then click Next.

4. Choose the location to install. Click Next to install to default folder.

5. Select Typical as installation type to install CST Studio Suite software on client pc.

6. Click Install to start installation.

7. Select Configure Licensing for CST Studio Suite and Click Finish to complete installation.

8. Once click finish, CST Studio Suite will launch a specify license page to allow users to import license file or connect to an existing CST license server.

9. (Optional)If you have node-lock license, please select “Import a Flexnet-based CST Studio Suite license file”, click … to browse the license file, the port is 27000. Click ok to start using the software.

10. (Optional)If you have a floating license in a flexnet based license server, please select “Point to an existing Flexnet-based CST Studio Suite license server system”, specify CST license server name, the port is 27000. Click ok to start using the software.

11.(Optional)If you have floating license in a DSLS based license server, please select “Point to an existing DSLS-based license server system”, specify license server name, the default port is 4085. Click ok to start using the software.
