How to Create a Drawing Template in DraftSight

Drawing Templates are created by simply setting up your usual drafting framework – including text styles, sizes, layers, and title frames according to your project needs.

Once you’ve inserted your correct drawing settings, either press the Save icon in the upper left corner of your DraftSight window, or click the Save As… option under the DraftSight logo icon. This will open a Save As window, where you can name your file and change your file type to Drawing Template (*.dwt). Then, just press Save, and you’re good to go!
