Machine Setup for SOLIDWORKS CAM
Machine setup is important for SOLIDWORKS CAM software. We have to choose the exact machine which you have in the organization for the software to generate the G’code correctly. Once you have brought the 3D module into the SOLIDWORKS CAM, the first thing to do is the machine setup.
Follow these steps below to set up the machine correctly.
Step 1: Right click on the machine under the SOLIDWORKS CAM feature tree manager.
Step 2: Edit definition or double click the machine (a new window will appear as shown in the screenshot below).
Step 3: Select the machine which you are going to work on via the mill-part under the available machine.
Step 4: Select the strength level of the machine under the Active Machine description.
Step 5: Select the Tool Crib or you can add Tool Crib according to your available tools in your organization.
Step 6: Select the customized post-processor under the post-processor portion then click “OK” to complete the machine setup.
