Electrical 3D
SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D enables you to use your schematic data from SOLIDWORKS Electrical with your overall mechanical design, opening up a new level of productivity. Concurrent design between electrical and mechanical teams can now be a reality – real time. You can collaborate easily and naturally, optimize the overall product design, and streamline development.
By integrating electrical schematic design data from SOLIDWORKS Electrical with the 3D model of a machine or other product. You can place all electrical components in 3D, then connect everything and determine lengths of wires, cables, and harnesses.
*Requires a SOLIDWORKS Standard, Professional or Premium CAD license
SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D enables you to easily integrate your electrical schematic design from SOLIDWORKS Electrical to your 3D model of the machine or other product. (SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D requires SOLIDWORKS CAD software.) Using SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D designers can place 3D versions of all electrical parts into their model, and run wires/cables/harnesses in 3D to connect all electrical equipment.
- Improve Time-to-Market
- Ensure Consistent Manufacturing and Assembly
- Streamline Development to Reduce Costs
- Reduce Manufacturing Defects and Scrap
- Eliminate Hidden Costs
Access to Electrical Project Data from 3D or 2D
Integration of the 2D schematic with the 3D model helps standardize designs and unify your BOMs to reduce mistakes and delays.
Wire and Cable Path Tool including Automated Cable Wire Segregation
Placement of the electrical system and cables/wires in your 3D model enables planning of specific locations and paths for consistent product manufacturing.
Integration with SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional
Manage documents, generate reports, and create PDF and DWG exports (SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional sold separately).
Real-time Bi-directional Updates between 2D and 3D
Real-time bi-directional updates between 2D and 3D synchronize electromechanical design so everything stays coordinated throughout development.
