RELAUNCHED in 2024: SOLIDWORKS Certification Exam Redemption System

Finally, the long-anticipated SOLIDWORKS certification redemption system for active subscription customers has arrived.

From the 17th of January 2024 onwards, you will be able to directly access and claim your free SOLIDWORKS certification exam vouchers as part of your SOLIDWORKS subscription benefits.

For context, a previous blog article wrote about a period where customers or VARs had to email certification@solidworks.com directly to request and redeem their free SOLIDWORKS certification exam vouchers. So…where can you access this new redemption system? Well, it is back at the 3DEXPERIENCE Certification Center site:

Note:
To access the certification center portal, you need to have a 3DEXPERIENCE Certification Account (you can create one if you don’t).

Do ensure the email address you use for the account login is also the same as your 3DEXPERIENCE ID and also registered in the company’s asset within the DSx. Client, please refer to the previous blog article listed above and contact your company administrator, or your Reseller, to link your 3DEXPERIENCE ID.

To find the redemption system page, you can click under “Subscription Offer” tab, or under “My Account” -> “Your Credits” page.

In order to see your entitled certification redemption/subscription offer after selecting “LOOKUP MY LICENSE”, you will need to have:

  1. Have a 3DEXPERIENCE Certification Account
  2. Have a 3DEXPERIENCE ID (refer to the Note above and create one following these instructions if you don’t: https://www.3ds.com/support/partners-support-homepage/onboarding/3dexperience-id-creation-process/ )
  3. Have your 3DEXPERIENCE ID linked to your company’s assets within the DSx. Client portal & system. (refer to the Note above).

 

For DraftSight licenses: access to 1 DraftSight exam per semester, per user, for each license of DraftSight on subscription service.

For SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE Works CAD licenses: access to 3 exams per semester, per user, for each license of CAD on subscription service.

 

Click “SHOW AVAILABLE CERTIFICATIONS” to browse the exams you are entitled to claim and create the exam voucher codes:

FEATURES & BENEFITS OF THE NEW AUTOMATIC VOUCHER SYSTEM

  • 24/7 access to exam vouchers through your 3DEXPERIENCE Certification Center account.
  • Once generated the voucher codes are valid for 180 days and can be shared among colleagues.
  • Redeem up to 3 vouchers each semester. If you only plan to take 1 exam today, you can come back to request 2 additional vouchers anytime during the semester.
  • First Semester starts on 1st Jan of the year and Second Semester of the year starts on 1st July of the year. The counters reset on those dates respectively.
  • You are no longer limited to choosing only 1 exam from each of 3 set categories* (refer to previous blog article mentioned for the old 3 set categories exam selection). You can mix and match. In fact, you have access to our entire exam portfolio (with the exception of the EXPERT exams). You can even request the same exam 3 times during the same semester if that is what you want.
  • DraftSight users can get vouchers for the new DraftSight Associate exam.
  • Voucher access is based on your company CAD assets on subscription service (e.g. 12 CAD licenses or 3DEXPERIENCE CAD roles on subscription means that 12 employees can redeem up to 3 exam vouchers each per semester). Access to vouchers is on a first come first served basis for each company.
  • This system will not work with Student or Education licenses, students should contact their school for access to exams. This system will not work with SOLIDWORKS for Makers or SOLIDWORKS Machinist licenses.
